My husband and I always wanted to participate in doing something for a good cause. God finally gave us the opportunity to write for Supreme Master Television and we were delighted! It started at the end of the Thailand seminar last year where my mother-in-law came and told my husband and myself that Supreme Master Television was seeking extra help. She explained to us if we work for Master we could earn a lot of merit and have our spiritual level uplifted. She helped to motivate us but we were already eager to help, regardless of merit.

I decided to start with writing something I was knowledgeable about. So, I submitted a couple of articles about compassionate fashion, with my husband editing everything I wrote. After a while, I was accepted as a script writer for Supreme Master Television! I felt very nervous about the work and wasn’t very confident at the time. However, I felt God was giving me an important task, and I had better take it. After writing a few articles, my husband told me that my writing was really improving and that he didn’t need to make any changes! I thought he was just trying to encourage me. However, our Supreme Master Television’s assigner at the time liked my articles! I was very shocked but I knew deep down, it was Master all along.

I was then given bigger projects. One of the projects was to write about creating a bird friendly garden. Besides being a vegetarian, I’d never thought much about birds. In fact, I always had been annoyed by the birds in my backyard, thinking they were too noisy and messy to have around. As I started researching and working on my assignment, I learned how to be more compassionate toward animals. I was coming across some of the information, which I had already known, but not paid attention to. It was working for Master that opened my heart out to the animals, like the birds I see everyday. I became more understanding of the difficulties these animals have to face in our world. I had never thought how much they matter to humans. Thanks to Master’s blessing, I am more loving toward animals around me. I am currently creating a bird friendly garden with my family and we just hung a bird feeder outside. I never appreciated the simple things in front of me until You opened my heart. Now I really enjoy watching and listening to the birds outside my window.

Master’s timing always seems to be natural and perfect. Thinking back, what my mother-in-law said about earning merit and raising one’s level by working for Master was true. Through our sincere works, our lessons are Master’s blessing. These lessons can help us progress in our spiritual practice. That’s why we really have to work sincerely in order to earn it!
