On the first day of the 1993 Lunar New Year, thanks to God’s incredible arrangement, I had a wonderful encounter with Master in a hotel in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. That was truly the greatest honor and blessing for me. At that time, I was a guide accompanying some tourists in Japan. Upon arrival in Tokyo that night, several members of the group that I was friends with invited me to join them to enjoy coffee and the nightscape in the hotel. This was the second or third time that one of them had mistakenly brought her camera instead of her wallet. As we were joking jovially, I suggested walking downstairs to appreciate the hotel decorations on each floor. It was after eleven in the evening. As we were going down, we suddenly saw Supreme Master Ching Hai at a distance coming directly towards us with one of Her attendants. The group member who accidentally brought her camera instead of her wallet exclaimed: “Wow! Aren’t You the real Supreme Master Ching Hai in the pendant photo that our group leader is wearing? Why would You appear here and now?”

I was also stunned for a while, but quickly regained my composure and asked Master: “Master! Aren’t You supposed to be in Hsihu Center? My mother went there to see You yesterday…” Master smiled kindly and told me that She had just come from Formosa to Japan at noon that day. The same group member went up to Master and asked Her to take a photograph with us. Then we knew why she had brought her camera instead of her wallet. She was destined to take photos of us with Master using that camera! Master not only gladly took photographs with us, but also mischievously grasped my arm and said: “Let us take a few more so your mother will envy you.”

My mother is a very humble and pure person who observes Master’s teachings and guidelines strictly, without any compromise. Therefore, Master’s love has always graced and blessed our whole family, including all relatives and friends, regardless of whether they are fellow initiates or not. They all can feel Master’s loving care.

Father Departed in Bliss

Three years ago, my father very peacefully passed away. Despite our sorrow, the whole family was very grateful to Master. Fellow brothers and sisters came continuously to meditate. This deeply touched everyone in the family and soothed our grieving hearts. Although we were extremely reluctant to let father go, we felt very assured, because our dear father had gone with Supreme Master Ching Hai.

On the third day after father died, a sister Yang came to meditate in the mourning hall. Suddenly she said to us: “Just now your father came and politely requested me to relate a message to your family. He asked everyone not to feel sad and mourn too much, because he is going with Supreme Master Ching Hai to practice spiritually.” On the day of the cremation, again a big group of fellow initiates came very early in the morning to meditate in the mourning hall. The hall was filled with the fellow initiates. One of the sisters saw my father standing on one side looking very happy, and was bowing very humbly and politely to the guests.

We are extremely grateful and touched that Master has been caring for and blessing our whole family all this time.
