On November 16 and 22, Golden Year 4, (2007), the LA fellow initiates held their annual homeless gift distribution and meal service in the Santa Ana and Westminster area. They delivered approximately 300 gift bags, each containing a T-shirt, hat, gloves, scarf, socks, towel, personal hygiene items and spiritual information.

This year, they also delivered gifts to the elderly, who suffer from multiple physical ailments and social isolation, through the Orange County Social Services Agency - Adult Protective Services. The loving gifts consisted of diapers, socks, T-shirts, microwaves and some medical supplies. The supervisor and coordinator of the program were very happy and commented: "These gifts are wonderful; please extend our deepest gratitude to Master.”

In addition to that, on Thanksgiving Day, several fellow practitioners again served the community by delivering approximately 300 similar gift bags to a women's and children's homeless shelter. The children all enjoyed the fun coloring books that were included in the bags.

Everyone who participated in this event felt deeply honored and grateful to represent the Quan Yin family in serving the needy during the Thanksgiving season. They will continue to follow Master's guidance by serving the less fortunate not only during the holidays, but also at other times when needed.
