Seeking Spiritual Elevation for Self and Community

By Khutul News Group (Originally in Mongolian)

[Khutul] Khutul is a vibrant community of about 10,000 inhabitants, 260 km from the capital of Ulaanbaatar. Established in 2003, the Khutul Center was built in the ancient Mongolian nomadic “Ger” style and is located on a hill near the town. The land and building were completely funded by the Khutul initiates and can accommodate 250 fellow practitioners.

During the summer of Golden Year 4 (2007), the Center hosted five national retreats from August through October, which were attended by fellow initiates from the other six Centers in Mongolia.

In October, the Khutul initiates and a number of other Mongolian fellow practitioners traveled to the capitals of Bayankhongor and Gobi-Altai aimags (provinces) and Tseel soum (township) in Gobi Altai aimag, where they introduced the teachings of Supreme Master Ching Hai and the Convenient Method. Sixty people attended these seminars and half of them subsequently learned the Convenient Method.

The brothers and sisters of Khutul Center are working diligently to create ever more comfortable conditions for fellow practitioners. They are also happy that the Center has leased the local high school cafeteria and now serves vegetarian food to 1,700 students three times a week.
