Rendering Relief to Snow Disaster Victims

After learning about the situation, Chinese fellow initiates immediately followed Master’s instructions and acquired relief materials urgently needed by the victims, such as warm clothes, quilts and medical supplies. Some citizens also joined in the effort by contributing clothing and helping with the packing and transportation work. Thanks to Master’s blessings, all the relief materials
were delivered to the affected area on March 18. With deep gratitude,
the director of the local Administration Bureau said, “Thank
you very much for your help at this most difficult moment. You are

From mid-January to early March this year, Shiqu County in the Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous State of Sichuan Province was hit by ten snowstorms, causing the most severe snow disaster in the region’s history. Ninety percent of the county’s people were affected, about 2,000 suffered from frostbite and large numbers of livestock died. As the pastures were covered by heavy snow, the local animals could not find food, and a huge number of Tibetan antelopes were frozen or starved to death. According to weather forecasts, heavy snow and freezing wet weather would continue to affect the area.
