Letter of Appreciation
Loving Contribution to Msgr. Catral
In April Golden Year 6 (2009), Archbishop Talamayan of Tuguegarao, the Philippines invited Supreme Master Ching Hai to join in the celebration of Msgr. Catral’s Diamond Jubilee in the priesthood. The celebration was held to commemorate Msgr. Catral’s major milestone in a lifetime of devotion to humankind at the Shrine of Santo Niņo in San Gabriel, Tuguegarao City, as well as for fund-raising for the renovation of the Shrine of Sto. Niņo, which the Msgr. Catral had helped build. Deeply impressed by Msgr. Catral’s dedication to both people and environment, Master made a generous contribution of US$10,000 for the renovation, to recognize Msgr. Castral’s 60 years of public service and to show Her support for his acts of charity and benevolence to society. Upon receiving the contribution, Msgr. Catral wrote letters to Master to express his sincere appreciation; and on behalf of Archbishop Talamayan, he was pleased to inform Master that they have a pilot parish where they train and educate farmers in the organic method of farming, realizing the urgent need to protect our environment. Master has always been very supportive of Archbishop Talamayan’s services in Tuguegarao. In 2008, Master contributed US$10,000 to help his fund-raising effort to build a House of Prayer for a local community, thus enabling and encouraging people in the Philippines to seek inner contact with God (News #198.) In 2007, Master also contributed a total amount of US$135,000 for the clergy’s retirement home project in Tuguegarao (News #185, #189 and #192). Below is the letter of thanks from Msgr. Catral.
