[Ginebra] With help from the Paris Center, local fellow initiates participated in the International Fair for Books and Press in Geneva from April 30 to May 4, Golden Year 5 (2008). A total of 555 exhibitors from 15 countries displayed a large variety of interesting books, attracting about 100,000 visitors.

At the fair, the fellow initiates had the pleasure to present Master’s book Las Aves de Mi Vida, to important guests, such as President Pascal Couchepin of Switzerland, Mayor Patrice Mugny of Geneva, Vice-Minister of Culture Nasser El-Ansary of Egypt, and President Katherine Hilber of the St. Gallen government. All were delighted to receive the book.

The fellow initiates also met with Mr. Jean Ziegler, a well-known politician, writer, senior university professor, and current spokesman of the UN on the Right to Food. When presented with Las Aves de Mi Vida, and NASA and Supreme Master TV flyers, Mr. Ziegler said he was glad that associations like ours were raising the awareness of the public to climate change and other important issues and he wished us all the best.

The fellow initiates interviewed many exhibitors of different cultures and professions. It is encouraging to know how they are all working for the betterment of the world and their common desire for peace and love. Many visitors also came to the initiates’ stall to look at Master’s books. They admired the colorful photos, gave positive feedback, and appreciated the message of love and happiness. Children especially were drawn to these books.

The fellow initiates distributed many NASA, Supreme Master TV and book flyers, which were well accepted by the public. At the end of the fair, a very well-known journalist of the Swiss Television network, Mrs. Martina Chyba, mentioned that her next program, on May 28, would be on the new nutrition trend: vegetarianism and the vegan diet. It is evident that people are more and more aware of the seriousness of climate change and many have started to eat less meat, to consume less and to change their habits.
