Amor en acción
Nigeria

A Timely Gift to Support Selfless Giving
By Kenya News Group (Originally in English)

In a remote village in the capital city of Nigeria, Abuja, 23 children aged one to five have found a loving home with Pastor Nelson Inegbedion. Although he and wife live in a small house with limited income, they founded the Centre for the Care and Protection of Underprivileged Children. The pastor said that from the very beginning, they knew there would be challenges that they would have to overcome in the caring of these children, but they decided to face the difficulties because they could not bear to see these children, who were abandoned by their parents, growing up homeless and roaming around the streets begging everywhere.

In their small and simple center, the pastor and his wife managed to provide all the children with meals and keep them clean. However, recently a child was in urgent need of a hernia operation and there were no funds to pay for that; so they prayed to God for help. Their prayers were answered! On August 17, Golden Year 5 (2008), carrying Master’s loving blessing, our Association members traveled to Nigeria and presented Master’s kind contribution of US$10,000 to the Centre for the Care and Protection of Underprivileged Children.
Thank you letter from the Centre for the Care and Protection of Underprivileged Children for the US$10,000 contribution by Master

Pastor Inegbedion expressed his sincere gratitude to Master and hoped to meet Her one day. When he learned about the global warming crisis and realized that vegetarianism is the only basic solution, he was thankful that the high cost of meat had made it possible for the center to serve only vegetarian meals. His colleague, too, appreciated this timely information that helped her give into her urge of becoming a vegetarian.
