Holland
Bringing
Climate Change Awareness
to Holland
By Amsterdam News Group (Originally in Dutch)
[Amsterdam] The fellow initiates from Holland started a campaign to spread the SOS climate change messages throughout the country. With the help of an advertising agency, they put up big SOS posters in all 30 metro (subway) stations in Amsterdam for two weeks. Every day about 280,000 people take these subways including those who go to the city to work, study, sightsee or shop. Besides that, the initiates also took some mega-posters home and placed them in high traffic areas, such as shopping centers, all over Holland. In July, Nijmegen city held its annual four-day walk. This year, the event drew about 38,500 participants from all over the world, along with large cheering crowds, so fellow initiates took the opportunity to distribute even more flyers. They pray that through these efforts, everyone will soon realize the immediate need of changing their lifestyle to the eco-friendly, plant-based diet in order to save our precious Earth.
