On August 9, 2008, a fourth storm hit the mountainous region of Northern Au Lac (Vietnam) with flash-floods, causing severe damage and leaving pitiful sights in Phu Tho, Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces.

With Master’s love, on August 14, a group of fellow initiates from Hai Phong rushed to Yen Bai to help the flood victims. Divided into small groups, they overcame many hardships of traveling through the mountains, rivers and muddy paths, bringing timely and much-needed comfort to inhabitants in the area. With Master’s US$10,000 contribution, they were able to distribute medicines and foods to those in need in Mau and An Lac villages in Yen Bai province as well as Lao Cai province. Although roads were blocked and traffic was held up due to the flood, the team managed to deliver the supplies into the hands of the villagers with the help of the local government.

Both the people and government officials were deeply moved to receive Master’s blessing. They expressed their gratitude to our relief team for bringing love and comfort. May God bless the residents of Phu Tho, Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces, and help them recover from the devastation to resume a stable life soon.
