A Loving Home for Animals in Need

In May of Golden Year 6 (2009), the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association members were honored to present a special Thank You letter and a monetary contribution of US$1,000 (£681.86) from Supreme Master Ching Hai to Ms. Wendy Valentine, founder of Hillside Animal Sanctuary in Norwich, UK. The Sanctuary is home to over 900 animals, many of whom had experienced the horrendous conditions of factory farms, but are now living out their lives in peace, thanks to the facility’s many dedicated workers. The Sanctuary also exposes the abominable treatment on the factory farms to the public. Ms. Valentine is a vegan and likes to offer delicious animal free foods for her visitors such as scones, cakes, sandwiches, rolls and even ice cream.
