Loving Hut Received Favorably in Japan
By Tokyo News Group (Originally in Japanese)
[Tokyo] In September, Golden Year 8 (2011), fellow initiates from the Tokyo Loving Hut had the good fortune to begin selling frozen vegan food and lunchboxes at the prestigious Matsuzakaya Ginza Department Store. The number of customers purchasing the items has increased daily and almost all have been non-vegetarians. After three months, the nutritious, affordable lunchboxes gained a remarkable reputation through word of mouth, and many customers have even asked for copies of the Go Veg to Mitigate Climate Change DVDs. Moreover, in December the Imperial Palace in Tokyo ordered
13 vegan lunchboxes from Loving Hut for members of the World Peace Prayer
Society, who are also part of the Imperial Palace Volunteers Group.
Members of the Group are regularly selected from among honorable citizens
across Japan to perform clean-up work at the Palace, and have the privilege
of meeting the Emperor. Later, the Group’s contact person, Madam
Akiba, enthusiastically thanked the initiates by phone, praising the
food as being delectable and full of love, and expressing her wholehearted
support for the restaurant’s ideals. She also sent a thank-you
card and placed more vegan-lunch orders for the volunteer groups scheduled
to work at the Palace in April and May 2012. In a country where the
plant-based diet is still uncommon, it is a great honor for the Loving
Hut to be chosen by the Imperial Palace to provide vegan food to these
respected citizens. The initiates are deeply grateful to Master for
Her love and blessing.
