Premiere,
Mongolian Edition
By Ulaanbaatar News Group (Originally in Mongolian)
To celebrate Earth Day and the release of the Mongolian edition of Supreme Master Ching Hai’s poetry book The Love of Centuries on April 22, Golden Year 8 (2011), our Association members in Mongolia organized a meaningful event at the Ulaanbaatar Loving Hut restaurant, featuring a live videoconference with Master, vibrant entertaining programs and a complimentary vegan dinner. The event, co-sponsored by Vegan Youth Union, Vegan Children Union and “Veggie World” magazine, was broadcast live via Supreme Master TV to millions of viewers around the world. Many dignitaries and VIPs graciously attended the event, including Mr. Lombo Erkhembayar, Urban and Rural Development Policy Advisor to the President of Mongolia; Mr. Garidkhuu Bayarsaikhan, Member of the Mongolian Parliament and Environment, Food and Agricultural Standing Committee; Mr. Davaasuren Bolor-Erdene, Senior Expert of the Law Department of the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia; and Mrs. Gaigal, Head of Green Area Division of the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia. Over 100 guests were representatives from more than 50 NGOs and media such as the Mongolian Trade and Commerce University, the Ulaanbaatar “Songdo” Clinic Hospital, and the Mongolian National Broadcaster/Radio. After a presentation entitled “Global Warming and Its Impact on the World and Mongolia, and the Solution” given by Mrs. Nyamkhuu, Manager of Doctoral Education and Training at the Academy of Management, several guest speakers shared their thoughts and insights on the most effective way to mitigate the climate change crisis - the plant-based diet. Following that, Master answered questions from guests regarding environmental protection, loving animals and the way to avoid disasters such as the ‘zud’ or extreme snowy winter that had attacked Mongolia.
Master encouraged the Mongolian government to support crop-farming alternatives, like organic vegan farming or other means of livelihood for livestock farmers. She was happy that the intelligent Mongolian people are realizing the health benefits of plant-based foods which can be substitutes for the traditional ones like cheese and mutton. She applauded the Mongolian government for establishing a moratorium on the death penalty to respect life and prays that this courageous and benevolent law can be extended to the innocent animals. Master once again called on everyone to do their part, “So simple: just be vegan to bring the merciful energy onto our world so that all humans can work together to earn enough spiritual points, so we can change our destiny. Like all other planets, we must evolve as a civilization and learn to live in love, dignity and peace with each other, because if we don’t, we will lose the privilege to keep our precious Earth, which we call home.” The conference was concluded with traditional Mongolian singing, dancing and instrument performances. Many guests were profoundly transformed by Master’s message and love. One said, “When I saw Master on the screen, I felt great inspiration from the bottom of my heart and I cried. I think it’s a great honor for me that I am living in the same era in which a Grand Master lives.” Another commended on The Love of Centuries, “This book is one which you can’t stop reading, because every word, every letter, every page of this book shows you how to love others… It’s very magical.” Let’s pray that with Heaven’s grace, the hospitable and pure-hearted Mongolian people will embrace the compassionate lifestyle and live in good health, happiness and peace.
