On December 12, Golden Year 9 (2012) the Formosa relief team traveled to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, to bring Master’s love to the area’s less fortunate, and help them stay warm in winter. After assessing the situation, the team used Master’s loving contribution of US$20,000 to purchase 500 thick blankets and 1,400 fleece blankets. After an 11-hour, nighttime drive, the team arrived at Kurigram District in northern Bangladesh on the morning of the 14th. That afternoon, they distributed 400 blankets to the needy and homeless in Babarihaat, and 240 blankets to those in Bhurungamari. That night, they also delivered 45 blankets to the orphans of Shesushadon Children’s House and 45 blankets to orphaned students at a Muslim school. On the 15th, the team went to Majipara, Nageswari, and Nakhalgong, distributing a total of 635 blankets to the residents. On the 16th, they handed out another 525 blankets, mostly to underprivileged families, the elderly and the homeless in Chorbarobish, Kaligong, Kadhar, and Morua. Upon receiving the loving gifts, the recipients were deeply grateful and touched, tearfully thanking Master, and some immediately wrapped themselves in the warm blankets. Finally, the relief team presented the remaining 21,500 takas of Master’s contribution to the Shesushadon Children’s House. The facility’s administrator said they were self-supporting, and had never received contributions from other groups or organizations. Thus the staff was deeply moved by Master’s love and care. They also promised to use the funds to improve the children’s living conditions and purchase school supplies. Thanks to Master’s boundless love and blessings, the relief team accomplished their “Warmth in Winter” project smoothly and successfully, thus helping many less fortunate Bangladeshi people stay warm through the winter.
