Hong Kong, a modern commercial city, was like a cultural desert until God showered it with blessed nectar rain. In the middle of May, fellow initiates held an exhibition of the prints of Master's paintings at Hong Kong's Art-Land Stationary Limited Inc.'s gallery.
In the prosperous commercial area of Hong Kong, it was difficult to find a place to hold the exhibition. Even if there was a place available, the cost for renting such a place would be too expensive. However, under God's miraculous arrangement, a special art exhibition called "Become One With the Universe" was held. This exhibition caused a sensational stir among Hong Kong's circle of artists. Art-Land Limited Inc., located in a prosperous area of Hong Kong, is the largest company for canvas painting equipment in Hong Kong. Aside from those who admire Master and friends of fellow initiates, a lot of professional advertisers and artists attended the exhibition as well.
Everyone who attended could not help being drawn to Master's paintings because of their extremely bright and luminous appearance, invoking in them the feeling of being one with nature. They were full of Zen. From time to time, people asked when would the next art exhibition of Master's prints be held. They kept requesting the fellow initiates to inform them of the next art exhibition so they could attend it also. In the newspaper, the art critics commented and praised Master's harmonious painting techniques that reflect this great practitioner's inner feelings and high level.
During the exhibition, a lot of people inquired about Master and the Quan Yin Method, especially the owner of Art-Land Limited Inc., who sincerely wanted to know about Master's teachings in great details. After having seen Master's paintings, some people applied for initiation along with their children.
In the bright and clean gallery, with Master's celestial music playing in the background, the atmosphere was peaceful and uplifting. The three dimensional effects of the paintings were very vivid and eye-catching. The fellow initiates who were on duty at the exhibition felt Master's grace and enjoyed the feeling of merging into the universe, like entering a beautiful heaven.

The value of a work of art mainly depends on the content expressed and is not on how it is presented. Art is one's livelihood and is a reflection of it. The artwork reflects the painter's thinking, feelings, values, philosophy of life, beliefs and character. In reality, artists express joy, agony, sadness, loneliness, unrealistic thinking, loss, anger, wails. This is a pattern of art which comes from deep thinking and is also closely related to feelings. I went to Art-Land Gallery in Wanchai to see the "Become One With The Universe" exhibition yesterday, and could not help thinking of the relationship between the artist and nature. The artist is a living master. As a person is full of the feeling of power, the painter's comprehension of power is, of course, different from ordinary people. (I have never been to of Supreme Master Ching Hai's lectures.) Like an ordinary person going to an art exhibition, feels the expression of vitality, the wisdom of creativity and talent of the painter. The subject expressed by the painter is the nature of art. The painter is depicting the atmosphere of nature and the universe. Perhaps in knowing the painter is a master, physically, we will have a natural tendency to think deeply of the true meaning of the artwork, and maybe here we shall have another realization. >
The concept of beauty "Become One With The Universe" has a profound influence on Chinese art. This sort of thinking is a kind of concept between "man and nature". This concept of "Become One With The Universe" and "Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism supplementing one another" exist in ancient Chinese spiritual areas and traditional art concepts. This concept of "Become One With The Universe" has been mentioned by the ancient scholar Change Zai in his work of "Cheng Meng, Chiang Cheng"; and this kind of thinking model, to express the ever-present "Tao" or "Heaven," man and nature, "I exist in you, you exist in me," is a kind of harmonious co-existence. Many artists support the idea that mind and body are one, just as Bernard Bosenquet has said, "Without idea, objects would be incomplete, whereas, an idea without objects is also not complete."

On studying Supreme Master Ching Hai's paintings, one cannot help feeling that She has a peaceful mind: "Enlightenment is not equal to having knowledge." During the process when the human mind turns inward and searches, it pushes what it feels and touches, or what the five senses can feel, into the changing forms and colors. So, the painting expresses the form that comes from the feelings of things that exist around you, and beauty also comes from the inner mind of the painter. This painting exhibition does not have a strong religious sense. What the viewers can feel is a calm and quiet atmosphere; a sort of enlightened, understanding of the paintings as if there is a saintly light shining on your spiritual center. If there are no feelings, what one sees with the eyes is only the superficial phenomenon of the objects.
