Hacia finales de agosto del Año Dorado 5 (2008), las lluvias torrenciales récord causaron una fuerte inundación en la región de Tokai, en el centro de Japón. Los hermanos iniciados del Centro de Tokio fueron de inmediato a las zonas afectadas para proporcionar ayuda.

Towards the end of August, Golden Year 5 (2008), record torrential rainfall caused severe flooding in the Tokai region in central Japan, destroying many homes, farmland and roads. Such heavy flooding over such a vast area was rare and was obviously directly related to the drastic climate changes caused by global warming. Fellow initiates from the Tokyo Center immediately went to the affected areas to render relief. They distributed food, towels and other daily necessities to the flood victims, together with the Alternative Living and SOS Climate Change flyers.

There were many lonely old folks living in Tokai who did not know how to cope with such a severe flood. When the relief team visited them, they were tidying up their homes, so they helped them move the heavy objects and listened to them pour out their grief. The people were very happy to receive Master’s book Los Perros en Mi Vida, and other informative materials.

Los compañeros iniciados esperan que todo se restablezca y que los afectados puedan reasumir su vida normal.
