Cuando las lluvias intensas azotaron Sierra de Puebla, la Maestra Suprema inmediatamente asignó un fondo para ayuda de emergencia de USD 50.000, el cual fue usado para ayudar a 2.500 familias.

In recent months, life in Mexico was twice disrupted by heavy rains, and on both occasions, the people were blessed to receive love and support from Supreme Master Ching Hai. When severe rain lashed Sierra de Puebla, the Supreme Master immediately allocated an emergency relief fund of US$50,000 that was used to help 2,500 families. In their eagerness to bring Master’s love to the affected households, local fellow initiates surmounted several road obstacles to reach the highlands at 4,580 meters above sea level in 14 hours; twice as long as the usual time.

The initiates offered humanitarian assistance in the north. With translation into the local language, they conveyed the message of love from Supreme Master Ching Hai to the Nahuatl Indians and other residents in the impoverished town of Eloxochitlan. In San Sebastián Tlacotepec, those who received the relief items were moved to tears upon seeing Master’s photo. The native people of all these distant communities sent their sincere thanks to Master. In the south, people in Tlahola, Tlatlapanala and Huixtla were pleasantly surprised to receive bags full of food for the first time. They were overwhelmed by the atmosphere of love, harmony and thankfulness. Even children happily joined them to unload the truck.

Then on July 23, Category 2 Hurricane Dolly brought torrential rain to the northeast coast of Mexico. More than 13,000 people were evacuated and 23,000 people took refuge in shelters. Again, Supreme Master Ching Hai lovingly sent US$10,000, which was used to buy emergency provisions for more than 1,000 households in Támpico Tamaulipas and PuebloViejo. The people of Mexico are sincerely thankful to Supreme Master Ching Hai for all Her gifts and especially for Her infinite love!
