Between Master and Disciples

Spirituality Rises through Song

By An initiate in Mainland China (Originally in Chinese)

In March this year, we received the news of a contribution for spiritual song compositions. In our local Center, a special activity of song composing and performing was carried out for 20 days. When the compositions and performances were recorded on CDs and distributed to local initiates, they received great responses. Many fellow practitioners were moved and even surprised. They could not believe our initiates were capable of composing such beautiful songs.

The songs expressed what was in all initiates’ hearts, like lost children who had found their mother and returned Home. For instance, Sister Zhang was playing the songs at home all day long and became so immersed that she couldn’t even hear loud knocking on her door. Sister Yu asserted that listening to the songs felt like Master pushing us forward. And many fellow practitioners said, “We have our own songs to sing from now on!”

The songs not only touched initiates, but moved family members as well. A 4-year-old granddaughter of an elderly sister-initiate cried and said she was longing for Ching Hai Mommy all day long, demanding that her grandmother play Ching Hai Mommy’s video for her. An 84-year-old mother was moved to tears when she listened to her daughter practice her song at home. At rehearsal, the husband of a sister who was more than 70 years old silently sat in a corner with tears. The hired cameraman refused to take any pay, saying that it was an honor for him to participate in the activity. It turned out that he wanted to learn the Convenient Method but did not mention it because everyone was busy, so he decided to start by reading Master’s teachings at home. Another sister’s husband did not like to sing songs. However, when she brought these songs home, he joined in with the singing and said, “I cannot believe that you people are so great at song composition!”

For the direct participants, the activity was an unforgettable event of a lifetime. Every time they heard the songs again, they would re-enter the state of “we are all one” from when the recordings were made. The brothers and sisters who composed the lyrics and music all said that they were flooded with inspiration during meditation. “True Love and Peace” was composed by Sister Jing. After receiving the information about the event, she asked Master for help during meditation. Then her wisdom eye revealed herself opening her arms, standing between a mountain and water, looking at sceneries of stars, grass, rivers, birds, flowers etc., experiencing everything as one within the true love of God. Another song, “Bringing Me Home,” was composed during Christmas when she was especially longing for Master, as if one was missing her beloved, wanting to be united with Master. She rose up from meditation at midnight, weeping as she composed it. The whole piece only took her a few minutes to finish.

“I Want to Go Home” was composed by Sister Wang soon after she received initiation in April. On May 12 during the celebration party for Master’s birthday, she was moved to tears as she transcribed the voice deep within her heart. At the same time, the melody of a Matouqin (a Mongolian musical instrument) was reverberating in her mind. She did not know how to compose music, so she did it by singing out the melody she heard from within. “You Are the Best Loved of Ours” was composed by Sister Li. While meditating she suddenly remembered an incident from soon after her initiation, when she saw a lost little child in a park who then found her mother. She then realized that she had found Master just as that lost child found her mother. Brother Sun also composed music through his meditation, whereby the musical notes were spontaneously displayed in his brain. As soon as he finished composing the music, he felt uplifted.

Even the composers did not expect the songs to be so well appreciated. When brother Ai received the lyrics of “True Love and Peace,” he simply uttered the melody as he was reading the words. He then had an idea to set them to music. He had never composed music before and had some music lessons only in elementary school. How amazing that he could compose this music overnight!

An old Chinese proverb says: “The article was originally written by God. I accidentally got it through my lucky hand.” All of us deeply realized that the spiritual song composition event was another spiritual practicing platform that Master had built for us. Master disseminated the melodious heavenly music through practitioner’s lucky hands to the Earth and to every soul who earnestly seeks true love. This platform lets us use wisdom and develop potential, and allows spirituality to flourish through songs.
