I have been a teacher for almost thirty years. In my career, I had beaten and scolded students as a Spartan form of punishment. However, I ceased to do this after initiation. It was because I heard Master say, “They are also children of Buddha. Why beat them?” Therefore, I started to educate them with love, the true love that generated from deep with me, which even the students could feel.
One of my pupils was troubled by his Yin-Yang eyes -- he could see invisible beings drifting about the parade grounds even in daytime. While in class, he could see some of them looking at him from the windows, or even following him closely. He was very frightened, and asked me, “Madam, why is it that I can see them but other people cannot? I cannot help it even if I don’t want to see them.” Considering his problem, I thought the best thing to do was to give him a tape of Master’s Buddhist chanting to listen to at home. I also gave him Master’s photo.
Several days later, he said the invisible beings had ceased to appear. From time to time, I ask him, “Are you all right?” He would tell me, “Madam, it is very effective!” Therefore, he always wore Master’s photo on his chest. This is a true story of how Master helped my pupil.
Master’s teachings also helped me in educating the students. During class, I often told the students stories that Master told us, and the kids were happy to listen. Whenever I finished telling a story, I would ask them, “Who told this story?” These lovely and innocent young angels would answer together, “Master did!” I also shared with them the concept of environmental protection advocated by Master. Therefore, using the recess period, they would silently pick up garbage everywhere on the school grounds. The school authority later discovered their good deeds, and wished to commend them openly. However, the students told the student counselor: “Our class teacher advised us not to talk about it, because when you help someone with the ‘left hand’, do not let your ‘right hand’ know.” The children had cutely used Master’s words.
During the noon recesses, I often meditated at the back of the classroom and played the Buddhist chanting tape, so that the whole class could sleep sweetly amid Master’s tranquil and infinite vibration. When some graduates come back to pay me a visit, they still tell me with sweet remembrance: “The biggest difference now is that we don’t have the Buddhist chanting anymore!” From this we can see the greatness of Master’s love, Her sacred voice still resounds in the hearts of the Buddha’s children.
Recently, I purchased several prints of Master’s paintings – “Independent”, “My Dear” and “Night Scene at Yang Min Mountain,” to be hung in my room and that of the children. When I reached home that evening, before I had hung up the paintings, I could smell a strong sandalwood fragrance pouring out of the bedrooms where I had planned to put the prints of Master’s paintings. My elder sister, also an initiate, was present. Suspecting it might be my illusion, I quickly asked her to smell it. She also smelt this very pleasant fragrance. I truly admire Master’s omnipresent blessing!
Previously I had never made any specific request to Master in meditation, but I begged Master this time, “Please help me to control my coughing.” After my most sincere prayer, Master gave me the best experience. When meditating on the light, I entered samadhi very soon, and did not cough at all. In my samadhi, Master showed me the entire vast universe. In the east, a hundred suns appeared simultaneously; the brilliance was extremely dazzling like the reflection from mirrors. The west was entirely filled with stars. Coming out of samadhi, I looked at my watch and found that an hour had passed by very quickly. It was truly wonderful. I was extremely grateful to Master for answering Her disciple’s prayer, for having arranged the best for me.
