Llevando el Amor Divino
a Costa Rica

[Limon Port] On Friday, March 14, Golden Year 5 (2008), our Costa Rican fellow initiates went to Limon Port to host a vegetarian seminar and spread Master’s teachings. A week earlier, they handed out flyers in the town to inform the locals of this up-coming activity. The conference room had a wonderful atmosphere. More people than expected showed up at the event. Fellow initiates played one of Master’s DVDs on climate change. Vegetarian food was served and some taken home to share with family members. One guest asked for details on how the initiates prepared the vegetarian food so deliciously. More information about vegetarianism, as well as many great veggie recipes were handed out. Several guests stated they were already vegetarians, and that they were happy to see our group promoting this healthy diet. Some even registered to learn the Convenient Method.

The fellow initiates realize that when they serve people with love, the people are more open to receive Master’s boundless love.

[Liberia] On May 3 and 4, fellow initiates distributed SOS flyers at a book fair in the city of Liberia, Guanacaste. The visitors were very receptive and were grateful for being informed about the current situation of our planet. Two people from the crowd even volunteered to help hand out flyers and showed great interest in spiritual practice.

At the fair, the fellow initiates had the pleasure to meet Costa Rican writer Flor Gutiérrez, who has been a vegetarian for 15 years. She is presently involved in a project of planting thousands of trees along a volcano path in Alajuela City. She praised our group members for being very brave to do this kind of job.

The fellow initiates were happy to see that people are open to these messages and are concerned about the current situation of the planet.

[Bagaces City] Recently, when the Costa Rican fellow initiates distributed SOS climate change flyers in La Fortuna de Bagaces, they were blessed to receive a lot of positive feedback. A man in charge of delivering light bills volunteered to help them hand out 200 flyers. A school teacher asked for more flyers to share with her students and nearly a thousand were distributed in the city. People were very kind and thanked the fellow initiates for the information and some commented about global warming. The fellow initiates plan to reach out to schools in the near future to educate children about environmental protection.

Media Support the Noble Lifestyle

By Costa Rica News Group (Originally in Spanish)

[San Jose] The vegetarian lifestyle is gaining popularity in Costa Rica, as the local media take up the cause in the best interests of the people.

One of the country’s principal advocates of vegetarianism is lawyer and president of APEV Asociación para la Promoción de la Ética Vegetariana (Association for Promoting Vegetarian Ethics), Marcelo Galli, who runs a magazine and website, as well as delivering lectures and distributing flyers on vegetarian living throughout Costa Rica. To support Supreme Master Television’s Ching Hai Day special program, Mr. Galli sent Master a heartfelt message. In recognition of his efforts, members of The Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association presented him with a letter of appreciation and Master’s book Los Perros de Mi Vida, on March 28, Golden Year 5 (2008).

In addition, Costa Rica’s most widely read gourmet magazine, Revista Sabores, will publish a nine-page article on the vegetarian lifestyle in an upcoming issue. These constructive efforts are inspiring many people in the country to adopt the noble meat-free lifestyle.
